Big Picture Students Looking for History

Posted Date: 10/05/26 (11:43 AM)

Big Picture High School’s college in the high school history students are creating an archive for historical research. To reduce screen time and make research a more tactile experience, we have begun curating quite the collection of microfiche, vinyl, printed materials, stamps, etc. that students can analyze as part of their research of the 19th and 20th centuries.

What they need: they are looking for old magazines, photos, 8mm, super8, and 16mm films and projectors, microfiche (not microfilm because we don’t have a reader), vinyl records, old sears catalogs, etc. for any era 1890-1975. If you have anything like that sitting around, we might be able to use it.

Simply send photos or descriptions to paul.melton@esd401.org and we can go from there. Condition is likely not important unless it is a vinyl record or projector.
