Virtual Academy

Ellensburg Virtual Academy offers a flexible, home-based online education for students in grades K–12 through Edgenuity Instructional Services.

Program Highlights

• Enrollment Options: Grades K–5 (Full-Time) | Grades 6–12 (Half-Time or Full-Time)

• Flexible Learning: All 6–12 courses are fully asynchronous with no set live class times. Plan on about 5 hours of work per week per class.

• Attendance: Required weekly participation in online coursework satisfies state attendance rules.

Student Support & Progress Monitoring

• Dedicated Online Mentor: Assists with teacher communication, tracks student progress, and offers guidance.

• Weekly & Monthly Updates: Attendance and grade reports are run every Monday, with official progress reports sent monthly.

• Academic Standards: Students must pass all (or at least 5 of 6) classes to maintain satisfactory standing.

• Intervention Plans: Created to support students struggling with progress. Remaining unsatisfactory for more than two months may limit enrollment for the following semester.
