Ellensburg Big Picture is a blend of classwork, project-based learning and "leaving to learn" experiences out in the community.  Students will develop learning plans with help from their teachers and families. Students will participate in public exhibitions of their learning at the end of each semester.  We will graduate students based on achievement of competencies instead of the accumulation of credits.    Ellensburg Big Picture is accepting incoming 9th - 12th grade students, and students from all academic backgrounds are encouraged to reach out to learn more about our program.

For more information on the Big Picture Learning model, please visit the Big Picture Learning website.

  • Students will come to on-site school from 8:50 to 2:20 (Ellensburg High School's 2nd - 6th periods).   Students will take math, English and science during the first three periods of the day, and participate in an advisory class in the afternoons.  During advisory time, students will work on independent and group projects, update student learning plans and leave campus to experience job shadows, service opportunities or internships in our community.
