BP Update For the Week Ending 2/6
Dear Big Picture Families- It was nice to get into the routine of a full week and return to a somewhat regular schedule. New this semester, students have assigned classes and groups for afternoon work, to help ensure they are getting specific time dedicated to the essential program requirements and elements for graduation. I will send out more information about the afternoon rotations and how those classes are helping students to meet their graduation competencies next week.
It is a busy week at Big Picture next week. On Tuesday, the students who signed up with Mrs. Iufer to attend the USFS trip will be returning to continue their work at the USFS station in Cle Elum. The bus will leave at 8:50, so students need to be on time for school.
On Wednesday, all juniors should be at school at 8:30 am for the ASVAB test in the Little Theater. This test
is an option for students to be able to It would be helpful if the students could bring their Chromebooks.
On Thursday afternoon, we will have a guest speaker from the National Guard who will be presenting to students during 5th period, and students will have club time after the presentation. We will have a guest teacher for the art club to make Valentine's cards. The sewing club will be working on pillow cases. Students will also be able to access PE in the EHS gym or work with our "fishbowl" equipment.
Finally, on Friday, we will take those students who signed up to CWU to learn about the apparel, textile, and merchandising program. Students will learn about the CWU program and then get a chance to try batiking with students and professors in the program.
As always, please reach out if you have questions or concerns.
